Significance Of The Weekend
Like the Quakers' last outing at Franklin Park in Boston, previewing the Ivy League Heps Championship course, the trip down to Charlottesville this weekend is also a preview of the NCAA Championship. Panorama Farms and the University of Virginia will play host for the 2023 national championship in November.

Deep Fields For The Event
The four races will have plenty of Division I talent in competition, as the women's side has 42 teams in the field and the men have 39. As for Ivy competition, Cornell, Dartmouth and Yale will all be in attendance.

Who Is Competing For The Quakers
The women's championship race will be represented by: Maeve Stiles, Olivia Morganti, Lily Murphy, Fabianna Szorenyi, Phoebe White, Katie Pou, Kelly Murray, Bronwyn Patterson, and Kyra Compton.

The women's orange race will be represented by: Zoe Shetty, Laura Baeyens, Lara Cota, Anastasia Russell, and Miranda Schriver.

The men's championship race will be represented by: Troy Hill, Will Shaughnessy, Luke Johnson, Vidhur Polam, Dylan Throop, Sahil Dodda, Dennis Fortuna, Nick Carpenter, and George Keen.

The men's orange race will be represented by: Rory Lieberman, Silas Ruth, Kofi Fordjour, and Liam Going.

Penn's Last Time Out
The Quakers got their first look at the course that will host this year's Ivy Heptagonal Championships two weeks ago, running Franklin Park in Boston for the Battle in Beantown. The event was hosted by Boston College.

The men took seventh on Franklin Park's 8K course with 149 points and were paced by a third-place finish from Dylan Throop whose time was 23:51.4. Luke Johnson (14th) and Sahil Dodda (30th) rounded out the Quakers' top-30 finishers. The women took second place at the Battle in Beantown with 101 points. The Quakers were led by senior Maeve Stiles, who finished the 5K course in 17:06.9 and placed third overall. Olivia Morganti (17:15.0, sixth), Lily Murphy (17:48.0, 27th) and Fabianna Szorenyi (17:49.0, 29th) rounded out Penn's top 30 finishers.

The following day, a second group ran at Lehigh's Paul Short Run in the 6K Women's Brown Race, taking fourth with 210 points. Anastasia Russell was the Quakers' first finisher in Saturday's race, clocking 22:18.7 to place 18th.
