STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The University of Pennsylvania track & field programs jumped back into the indoor season on Saturday night at the Penn 10-Team Select, hosted at the Ocean Breeze Complex, highlighted by a program-record time by freshman
Moforehan Abinusawa in just her second collegiate meet.
Â
The night had nine different program top-10 marks between the men and women, and Abinusawa made the biggest splash in the 60m. After placing herself in the top three in her first collegiate meet in December, she took it a step further on Saturday. She took first in the event with a time of 7.34, topping Taylor McCorkle's 2017 record time of 7.42.
Â
Freshman
Christiana Nwachuku, who already sits seventh in program history in the 60m, took third in the race with a time of 7.65.
Â
Abinusawa wasn't done making her mark for the night, also taking first place in the 200m where she clocked a time of 24.06, the third best time in program history. She was followed in by
Isabella Whittaker for fourth on a time of 24.65, landing her ninth in program history.
Caia Gelli, who already sits sixth in program history in the event, finished fifth with a time of 24.96.

Aliya Garozzo (57.19), taking second and fourth, respectively.
Â
Also in the women's sprints,

Â
In the mile,
