PHILADELPHIA –
Casey Brown has resigned her position as the Douglas N. Brush Head Women's Soccer Coach at the University of Pennsylvania to accept the head coaching position at her alma mater, Boston University.
Brown recently completed her second year at Penn, leading the Quakers to a 9-5-2 record including a 9-1-0 mark at home. Four players earned All-Ivy League honors and
Sizzy Lawton received All-Region recognition.
Brown arrived at Penn in March 2020 from Holy Cross, where she was named the 2019 Patriot League Coach of the Year after leading the Crusaders to their best season in nearly two decades as they reached their first Patriot League Tournament since 2000.
Brown was an All-America and three-time America East Defensive Player of the Year at BU, helping the Terriers to four NCAA College Cups and three conference titles. A four-time all-conference selection and three-time all-region pick, Brown was the America East Tournament's Most Outstanding Player in 2007. She was drafted by the Boston Breakers of the National Women's Soccer League in 2010.
A native of Natick, Mass., just outside of Boston, Brown earned her bachelor's degree in communication from Boston University in 2010 and a master's in exercise physiology and sports nutrition from LIU Brooklyn in 2012.
