PRINCETON, N.J. – The University of Pennsylvania men's swimming and diving team continued action at the 2022 Ivy League Championships on Friday at DeNunzio Pool on the campus of Princeton University.
The Quakers are in third place with a score of 675 points after 14 events. Harvard leads heading into day four with a score of 1,060 points.
Penn had a strong showing on Friday morning in the 400 IM, placing three swimmers in the A Final. The Red and Blue also had three swimmers qualify for the A Final of the 100 back.
William Kamps finished fifth in the Final of the 1,000 free with a time of 9:01.17.
Michael Foley was 12th with a time of 9:08.27 and
Jack Loveless ended up in 15th at 9:14.46.
Billy Fallon was fifth in the A Final of the 400 IM with a time of 3:49.21 and he was followed closely by teammates
Kevin Keil (3:50.55) in sixth and
Jason Schreiber (3:50.71) in eighth.
Daniel Gallagher finished second in the B Final of the 400 IM thanks to touching at 3:51.36.
Ben Feldman won the B Final of the 100 fly with a time of 46.86 and
Andrew Dai was seventh at 48.47.
Sam Donchi was second in the C Final of the 100 fly with a time of 48.60.
Zachariah Althoff was seventh in the C Final of the 200 free with a time of 1:39.56.
Matthew Fallon came in second place in the A Final of the 100 breast with a time of 52.30 while
Neil Simpson came in eighth at 54.53.
Matt Leblanc finished second in the C Final of the 100 breast at 55.47.
Mark McCrary was fifth in the A Final of the 100 back with a time of 47.69 and he was followed closely by
Keanan Dols (47.99) in sixth and
Jack Hamilton (48.60) in eighth.
Daniel Gallagher was third in the C Final of 100 back at 49.14 while
Sam Donchi was fifth with a time of 49.50.
To close the night the Quaker quartet of
Mark McCrary,
Matthew Fallon,
Keanan Dols and
Ben Feldman came in fourth in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:12.15.
The final day of the Ivy League championships gets underway on Saturday with the prelims starting at 11:00 a.m. followed by the finals at 6:00 p.m.
