PHILADELPHIA – For a second consecutive year, the University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team was voted the Gymnastics East Conference's (GEC) preseason favorite ahead of the 2023 campaign, announced on Monday afternoon.
 
The Quakers led the poll with 60 points along with five first-place votes out of a possible eight.
 
The preseason rankings are based on ranking projections given by the head coaches of the eight GEC schools.
 
Looking to repeat as GEC Champions, Penn begin its title defense on January 6 at the Keystone Classic, hosted by Pitt.
