Six Program Marks Set In Season-Opening Seahawk Invitational For T&F

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The University of Pennsylvania track and field programs kicked off their indoor season on Friday afternoon at the Seahawk Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex, as six program top-10 marks were penciled in including three by freshmen.

The 60m hurdles for both the men and women had program marks. On the women's side, Katherine Muccio etched a new personal record to hold her at sixth in program history with a time of 8.61 for third in the race, while Aliya Garozzo took fifth with a time of 8.72 to bump into ninth in program history.

On the men's side, in his first collegiate race, Shane Gardner registered a third-place finish with a time of 8.11, a mark good enough for fifth in program history.
