PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania cross country teams makes their last appearance before championship season on Friday afternoon, making the short drive up the main line to the Haverford Invitational.

About Haverford Invitational
The Quakers have plenty of familiarity with the Haverford course, racing there earlier this season for the Main Line Invitational and also competing in the Invitational last season. In the second meet of the season at the Main Line, the Quakers collected a top finish for the women and fourth for the men. Leading the way was
Bronwyn Patterson, taking first overall with a time of 17:31.5 on the three-mile course.
Laura Baeyens, who is racing on Friday, took second on the course with a time of 17:46.5. On the men's side,
Dennis Fortuna paced the Quakers in 15th on the four-mile course with a time of 20:08.6. He was closely followed in by
Matthew Fernando in 23rd with a time of 20:35.8. Both will be racing on Friday.

Penn's Last Time Out
Junior
Maeve Stiles continued to perform at a high level last Saturday, showing off her skills at the XC23 Invitational at Panorama Farms, hosted by Virginia, taking 14th on the 5K course with a time of 17:08.8. Her 14 points led the Quakers to an eighth-place finish with 217 points. She was followed in by
Lizzy Bader (17:34.0) and
Olivia Morganti (17:48.1) in the top 50, while
Lily Murphy stayed sub-18 with a time of 17:53.9 for 58th place.
Katie Pou wrapped up the scoring for the Quakers with a time of 18:09.5 for 74th.

Led by
Luke Johnson, the men's team earned 11th place at the XC23 Invitational. Johnson broke the top 50 with a time of 24:15.0 on the 8K course to take 48th.
Edwin Klanke followed him in just 10 seconds behind for 67th.
Will Shaughnessy (24:45.6),
Michael Keehan (24:50.6), and
Sahil Dodda (24:53.9) put a bow on the scoring for Penn, coming in together to crack the top 100 finishers.
