PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania's women's volleyball coach, Meredith Schamun, has announced the addition of Trevor Weiskircher to her staff as an assistant coach. Weiskircher joins Evan Feltz as an assistant coach on Schamun's staff.
 
Weiskircher comes to Penn after serving as a volunteer assistant coach with the University of Alabama's women's volleyball programs in 2020.
 
"I am excited to add Trevor to the Penn volleyball family," said Schamun, who was hired as Penn's head coach in March 2020 and enters her first season overseeing the Quakers this fall. "He was an easy choice for us given his playing and coaching background. Trevor played at a high level during his time at Lewis University and he has worked for strong programs through the Midwest and South. He has a passion for teaching, and his knowledge of the game will help our program move forward. I think there will be good balance between myself, Evan and Trevor, both on and off the court, and our student-athletes will really benefit from that."

Prior to his stint at Alabama, Weiskircher was the graduate assistant and director of operations for Northern Illinois University's women's volleyball program during the 2018 and 2019 seasons.
 
Weiskircher played men's volleyball collegiately at Lewis University from 2015-17 and was part of the Flyers' run to the national championship match in 2015 against Loyola-Chicago. He was a member of the Academic All-MIVA team all three seasons and earned All-MIVA honorable mention in 2016. After graduation, Weiskircher played professionally in Greece for GAS Pamvohaikos where his team finished fourth in the A1 Ethniki Volleyball League.
 
Weiskircher earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Physics from Lewis in 2017 and a Master of Science in Sport Management from Northern Illinois University in 2020.
