AKRON, Ohio – The University of Pennsylvania men's swimming and diving team continued action at the 2021 Zippy Invitational on Saturday. After 14 events, the Quakers remain in first place with a total score of 1,625.5.
The Red and Blue started strong during the finals as 200 medley relay quartet of
Mark McCrary,
Matthew Fallon,
Ben Feldman and Nicholas Malchow won with a time of 1:27.26.
Billy Fallon won the 400 IM with a time of 3:51.32 for the Quakers. Touching after him were
Jason Schreiber in second (3:51.97) and
Kevin Keil in fourth (3:54.45).
Feldman finished in second place in the 100 fly with a time of 47.72.
Freshman
Matthew Fallon won the 100 breast with a time of 51.46. During the prelims, he set a new meet and program record in the event thanks to touching at 51.45.
The Red and Blue dominated the diving events on Saturday, taking the top two spots.
Cody Hopkins won the 1M with a score of 313.25 and
Jack Williams finished in second (308.35).
Quaker Notemeal
*The Penn 200 medley B group of
Jack Hamilton,
Neil Simpson,
Keanan Dols and
Peter Lee finished in second place with a time of 1:28.36.

Jaden Olson (48.48) came in fifth place in the 100 fly and
Keanan Dols (48.53) tied for sixth.

Zachariah Althoff finished third in the 200 free with a time of 1:38.66.
*The Penn men finished 2-3-4 in the 100 back.
Mark McCrary came in second (47.14),
Jack Hamilton was third (47.89) and
Keanan Dols was fourth (48.28).
*The 2021 Zippy Invitational features a seven-team field on the men's side.
