Men's Swimming & Diving Drops Season Opener to Columbia, 157-143

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The University of Pennsylvania men's swimming and diving team opened the 2021-22 season with a 157-143 setback against Columbia on Saturday afternoon at Sheerr Pool.
 
The Quakers won five different events on Saturday including the 200 medley relay. The quartet of Jack Hamilton, Matt Fallon, Ben Feldman and Peter Lee won in a time of 1:31.66 to start the campaign on a high note.
 
The win in the relay was the start of a big day Fallon. In his collegiate debut, Fallon finished first in two individual events, touching first in the 100 breast (54.16) and the 200 IM (1:51.36) for the Red and Blue.
 
Quaker Notemeal
*Jason Schreiber won the 200 breast with a time 2:01.41.
 
*William Kamps earned nine points for the Quakers with a victory in the 200 free (1:41.19).
 
*In his Quaker debut, diver Cody Hopkins finished second in the 3M (352.80) and third in the 1M (324.53).
 
*Matt Fallon also added a second-place finish in the 500 free with a time of 4:33.57.
