The Series with Yale
Penn handed Yale its only Ivy League loss of the 2019 season with a penalty kick goal in double overtime.
All-time, the Quakers are 52-42-11 all-time against the Bulldogs, including a 5-2-3 mark in the last 10 matches dating back to 2010.
Five of the last nine matches have gone to a second overtime, with each side picking up a win in addition to the three draws.
About Yale
The Bulldogs enter tonight 5-4-3 on the season, 2-0-1 in Ivy League play. After going 3-4 in September, the team has not lost a match in October, going 2-0-3 with conference wins over Dartmouth and Cornell.
Paolo Carroll has notched seven goals and 1.42 points per match this season. Those marks currently rank tied for second and tied for third, respectively, in the conference.
Quaker Notemeal
*With Tuesday night's win over Temple, Penn is now guaranteed a third straight season with a home record above .500 after posting just two such seasons between 2012 and 2017.
*The Quakers are seeking their first four-match win streak since the 2010 team won six in a row, five of those via shutout. That team eventually reached the second round of the NCAA College Cup.
*Each of Penn's last three wins have been come-from-behind victories. This marks the team's first occurrence with three comeback wins in a
season since 2011.
*The Quakers are currently the only Ivy League team with three players averaging at least one point per match: graduate
Joey Bhangdia (1.20), senior
Matt Leigh (1.08), and fellow senior
Ben Stitz (1.00)
