Sweeping the Weekly Awards
On Monday, it was announced that Peter Matt and Christian Scafidi had received Ivy League and Big 5 weekly awards. Matt was named Player of the Week by both organizations while Scafidi was named Pitcher of the week.
 
Hot Bats
Through the first seven games of the season, Penn leads the Ivy League with a .298 batting average.  Through seven games this year, Penn has 74 hits—eight more hits than it had through seven games last year.
 
Perfect Balance
Against FIU, Penn's lineup was nicely balanced between the four academic classes. Three games in, including pitchers, Penn has given starts to three freshmen, five sophomores, two juniors, and four seniors.
 
Scouting FAU
The Owls are 9-6 after dropping a series against Northeastern last weekend. Five of FAU's games were against teams ranked in the top-10, including an 11-2 win against No. 6 Miami last week.
