PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's squash team (9-2, 3-1) picked up another convincing victory, defeating #15 Brown (4-5, 0-4) by a final score of 9-0. The win marks the sixth 9-0 victory for the Quakers, matching their total output from last season.
Right out of the gate, the Quakers turned in big victories, beginning with
Andrew Douglas. Douglas breezed through his opener and set the tone for what became a huge day for the rest of the lineup. Wins by
Wil Hagen and
Dillon Huang quickly followed suit.
After extending the lead to 4-0, it was the newcomer in the starting nine,
Ryan Murray, who delivered the clincher. After two quick wins, he outlasted a comeback attempt to win the third 11-9. The junior won his second 3-0 victory of the season, returning to the top-nine for the first time since a 9-0 win at Navy on November 24.
Saksham Choudhary turned in the last win of the match, improving to 11-0. The win brought him one win away from tying
Aly Abou Eleinen's 12-0 mark from last season, with an opportunity to record that win tomorrow against Yale.
