Biography
2022-23: Became fourth Quaker in program history to win 50 matches and second to reach the mark in three years … Competed in all 19 matches, going 17-2 and finishing his career with a winning percentage over 94 percent (52-4) … Rallied from 0-1 deficits for four-game wins over Dartmouth’s Quintin Campbell (1/21), Trinity’s Julius Benthin (1/29), and Priceton’s Alastair Cho (2/4) … Rallied from 1-2 deficit for five-game win over Drexel’s Fritiof Jacobsson in Potter Cup quarterfinal (2/24) … Rallied from 0-2 deficit for five-game win over Yale’s Jed Burde in Potter Cup third place match (2/26).
2021-22: Competed in 17 of 19 varsity matches across five different spots in the lineup … Went unbeaten in team competition for the second consecutive year, winning 15 matches by 3-0 score including each of the first 12 … Picked up match-clinching win over Princeton’s Alastair Cho, earning Penn a share of its first Ivy League Championship since 1974 (2/5) … Picked up 3-0 wins in Potter Cup quarterfinal over Drexel’s Noel Heaton (02/18) and Potter Cup final over Harvard’s Tate Harms (2/20), adding 3-1 win in Potter Cup semifinal over Yale’s Jed Burde (2/19).
2020-21: All 2020-21 Ivy League winter sports were canceled on November 12 due to a nationwide outbreak of coronavirus COVID-19.
2019-20: Named Penn Squash Rookie of the Year ... Appeared in 16 of 17 varsity matches; his match in the Potter Cup final never started as the result was clinched beforehand … Went 17-1 overall (16-0 in team play, 1-1 at Individuals) … Became the first freshman in program history to record a 16-0 regular season … Helped lead Penn to its first Potter Cup final and second-place finish … Spent most of the season at No. 7 in the lineup, with appearances at No. 6 and No. 4 … Went a perfect 7-0 in Ivy League play … Did not drop a game in his first six matches and recorded 12 of his 16 victories by a 3-0 margin … Recorded the Quakers’ only point with a 3-1 win over Julien Gosset in Penn’s loss to Harvard (1/11) … Went 4-0 against opponents from the top-four teams in the nation (Harvard, Trinity, Princeton) … Went a perfect 2-0 in the Potter Cup, recording his first postseason wins … Defeated Trinity’s Ziad Sakr to help the Quakers record their first victory over the Bantams since 1996 (2/29) … Competed in the CSA Individual Championships in the Molloy Cup (B Division) … Defeated Raghav Kumar (Tufts) in the Round of 16 before falling in the quarterfinal round (3/6).
