Series Information
Penn leads 31-11-2 | Last meeting: 2018 (0-0 draw)
The Quakers hold a strong advantage in the all-time series against the Dragons, but play has been tight lately, with each team featuring success on their home turf. Last year, Penn and Drexel battled to a 0-0 draw on Rhodes Field, but prior to that, each team had won its last three home games in the series, respectively. Penn's last win on Vidas Field came in 2005.
Philadelphia Soccer Six
The Quakers have a chance to earn a title of the Philadelphia Soccer Six title with a win on Tuesday, entering the match with a 1-0 mark against city foes following a win over Temple earlier this season. Penn is unbeaten in its last three matches vs. Philadelphia opponents but hasn't won the city crown since 2014.
Bhangdia's Boot
Junior
Joey Bhangdia leads the Quakers with six goals scored this season, a total good for second in the Ivy League. Bhangdia's three game-winning scores are tied for tops in the conference.
Top-100
Rookie
Kai Lammers was named one of the top-100 freshmen in the nation by Top Drawer Soccer this season, checking in at No. 93. Lammers has started in 10 of Penn's 11 games and scored a goal in his career-opener at Monmouth.
Keepin' it Clean
Penn ranks 15th nationally and leads the Ivy League averaging 10 fouls committed per game, limiting set piece opportunities for its opponents.
Scouting the Dragons
Similar to the Quakers, Drexel has had a mixed bag of results in 2019 with an overall record of 5-6-2, including a 2-3-1 mark in conference play. The Dragons dropped their last match, a 2-0 decision to the College of Charleston, but last week defeated Saint Joseph's 3-0 in their first Philadelphia Soccer Six contest of the season. The only similar opponent to date between the two squads is Rutgers, as the Scarlet Knights defeated Drexel 2-1 in September, while the Quakers drew then-No. 24 Rutgers on Rhodes Field. Chris Donovan leads Drexel offensively with six goals and an assist for 13 points. 11 players have combined for Drexel's 18 goals on the year, as only three feature multi-goal accounts. The Dragons have split responsibilities between the pipes with Cameron Sanders and Stephen Kopsachilis both earning minutes.
