Taylor Culp Named Goalkeeper Coach for Women's Soccer

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania's Douglas N. Brush Head Coach of Women's Soccer, Nicole Van Dyke, has announced the hiring of Taylor Culp as a new goalkeeper coach.

Culp, a recent graduate of Montclair State University, joins Penn after serving as the goalkeeper coach at the College of Mount Saint Vincent in Bronx, N.Y.

"Taylor is going to be a wonderful addition to our coaching staff," said Van Dyke, who is entering her fourth season. "He immediately stood out as someone that would add value to the program, both as a person and as a coach. We are looking forward to getting on the field with him."

On the field, Culp helped lead Saint Joseph's High School in Metuchen, N.J. to back-to-back state championship appearances, before attending the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In 2016, he made his move to Montclair State, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology.  During his junior season, the Red Hawks were crowned NJAC champions and reached the NCAA Tournament for the 11th consecutive season.

"I am proud and grateful to be joining a program of such caliber at a University of such prestige," Culp said. "As a young coach, there is no better mentor than Nicole, whose passion, dedication, and attention to detail fosters an environment for everyone involved to grow."

During the spring of 2018, Culp, originally from Piscataway, N.J., joined the staff at the College of Mount Saint Vincent. Additionally, he has held similar posts at the United Soccer Academy and Matchfit Academy.

"I am excited to be a part of the vision she has for this program," said Culp.
