Penn Baseball Announces Hall of Fame Inductees

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania baseball program is pleased to announce six new members to its Hall of Fame. These six—five former players and one former coach—will be inducted during the Penn Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at the Dinner on the Diamond event, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday, Oct. 6.

  *2010 Ivy League Player of the Year
  *2010 Blair Bat recipient (best batting average among Ivy League players, .458)
  *First-team All-Ivy (2010 – UNANIMOUS)
  *Second-team All-Ivy (2009)
  *In 2010 led Ivy League in hits (38), RBI (25), runs (25), doubles (13), and total bases (63)
  *In 2009 led Ivy League in doubles (13)
  *Had 38 Ivy League hits in 2010, second in Ivy history (Brown's Matt Kutler had 39 in 2005)
  *Had 83 Ivy League AB in 2010, tied for third in Ivy history
  *Second all-time among Penn players in runs scored in Ivy play in a season (league-leading 25 in 2010)
  *Had 71 total hits in 2010, tied for fourth in Ivy League history for most hits in a season
  *Holds the Ivy League record for doubles in a season (22 in 2010)
  *Tied (twice) the Ivy League record for doubles in an Ivy League season (13 in 2009 and 2010)
  *T-3rd among Ivy League players for total bases in an Ivy League season (63 in 2010)

  *Coached four Ivy League Pitchers of the Year

  *Six of Penn's seven no-hitters all-time happened under his watch
