PHILADELPHIA - The University of Pennsylvania softball team (8-15, 4-5 Ivy) has picked up momentum over the past few weeks. Penn won its first Ivy series of the season on the road against Brown -- taking the first two games -- the Quakers went on to defeat Villanova for the first time since 2012 on Wednesday to improve to eight wins on the year. The Red and Blue will take that momentum into a big Ivy League home series that starts with a Friday double-header when they host Yale at 2 p.m. Due to the weather, the usual Saturday two-game slot was moved up to Friday with the normal Sunday game remaining in its usual 12:30 time frame.
