PHILADELPHIA - The University of Pennsylvania men's soccer team will look to reverse its recent fortunes on the road this weekend, facing Yale in New Haven, Conn. on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 4 p.m.

MATCH DAY 11 - Penn (2-4-4, 0-3 Ivy League) at Yale (6-4-2, 1-1-1 Ivy League)

Series Information
Penn leads 51-42-10 | Last meeting: 2017 (Penn, 4-1)

The Quakers hold the lead in the all-time series over the Bulldogs, and have had success against Yale in recent play, as Penn is unbeaten in the last five meetings between the two sides. Last year saw an offensive explosion from the Red and Blue at Rhodes Field, led by senior Joe Swenson who went off for three goals and an assist in a 4-1 victory. The Quakers dominated the Bulldogs in their last trip to New Haven, winning 3-0 in 2016, with a goal from current Quaker Dami Omitaomu featured in the result.

Swenson Nets a Goal
Although Penn's 3-1 defeat at the hands of Dartmouth was not the desired result for the Quakers, the Red and Blue were able to find the back of the net, scoring a penalty kick goal from senior captain Joe Swenson. Swenson now owns 10 goals and 29 points for his career.

Scott Makes Saves
Senior goalkeeper Scott Forbes is in the midst of his most successful year between the pipes for the Quakers, ranking 23rd nationally with a save percentage of 0.815. The New Jersey native also continues to sport a goals against average of less than one per game.

Going the Distance
In addition to Forbes playing every minute in the goal for Penn this season, the Quakers have found nice stability in their defensive unit with all four playing at least 995 of the possible 1,005 minutes on the field this season, including three playing every second. RC Williams, Alex Touche and Erumuse Momoh have not checked out of a game once this season for the Quakers.

Scouting the Bulldogs
Yale enters the weekend with an overall record of 6-4-2, including a 1-1-1 mark in the Ivy League with an overtime win over Cornell, a loss to Harvard, and a tie with Dartmouth. Freshman Paolo Carroll leads the team with 12 points on the year, featuring four goals and four assists, while senior Nicky Downs is close behind with three goals and four assists. Tom Wallenstein has led the team in between the pipes, sporting a goals against average of 1.23.
