PHILADELPHIA - Senior captain of the University of Pennsylvania gymnastics program
Kyra Levi has been named ECAC Gymnast of the Week after a strong season-opening performance at the Lindsey Ferris Invitational over the weekend. The weekly honor is the first of Levi's career.
In the nation's capital on Sunday Levi competed on both bars and floor, while exhibitioning on beam. The highlight of her afternoon came on bars at the anchor position, as the senior hit a routine scoring a 9.800, the highest on the team and good for third overall at the quad-meet. On floor, Levi finished with a 9.600 in the fourth spot.
The Quakers return to action this weekend for their first dual meet of the season, set to face the Yale Bulldogs in New Haven, Conn. on Saturday, Jan. 20 at 1 p.m.
