PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men’s and women’s squash programs have announced their incoming freshman classes for the 2016-17 season. Penn’s Class of 2020 will consist of a pair of new Quakers on the men’s squad, and three on the women’s team.

Slated to join newly promoted head coach, Gilly Lane, on the men’s squad are David Yacobucci and Wil Hagen, while Jessica Davis, Lindsay Stanley and Clare Kearns will unite with Director of Squash Jack Wyant and the women’s program.

“We are thrilled to welcome David and Wil to the program. They both bring skill and experience after successful junior careers internationally and nationally. David will be joining us from the squash powerhouse Brunswick school, where he played No. 1 the past two seasons and has led them to two national championships. He will make an immediate impact on a team that had its best season since 2007. Wil brings a toughness and work ethic that we love at Penn. Last year he represented the U.S. at the Pan American Juniors in Argentina, and helped lead the team to a gold medal! We look forward to having both represent Penn on and off the court.”

“After a stellar 2015-16 campaign, and the graduation of three, four-year starters, it will be hard to top last season. That being said, Gilly and I are optimistic about our chances because we welcome a talented, enthusiastic freshman class, including Lindsay Stanley, Jessica Davis and Clare Kearns.”
