NEW HAVEN, Conn. ? After losing a tough 5-4 match last season to Yale, the University of Pennsylvania men’s squash team returned the favor Saturday with a convincing6-3 win. The Quakers (2-0, 2-0 Ivy) received a strong effort from their top-three flights to down the Bulldogs (0-1, 0-1 Ivy).
Gilly Lane defeated Nick Chirls in straight sets at No. 1. At Nos. 2 and 3, Lee Rosen and Mark Froot both won, 3-1, respectively. Ben Ende picked up a 3-1 win over Todd Ruth at No. 5, while Andrew Zimmerman and Christopher Thompson won, 3-0 at Nos. 8 and 9.
Sunday, Penn travels to Providence to take on No. 11 Brown at 1 p.m.
