T&F set to Compete at Spec Towns Invitational

PHILADELPHIA - The University of Pennsylvania men's and women's track & field teams will travel to Athens, Ga. this weekend to compete in the Spec Towns Invitational.

Nayyir Newash-Campbell broke the program record in the men's 400m at the Sam Howell Invitational with a time of 45.89, currently ranked 19th in the NCAA.

Shane Gardner placed first in the men's 110m hurdles with a meet-record time of 13.81, currently ranked 20th in the nation.

In the men's 5000m, Joseph Ruiz finished first with a time of 14:30.09.

Jailyn Milord finished first in the women's 100m with a time of 11.65, ranking fourth on the program's all-time performance list.

Madison Knier won javelin with a personal-best mark of 47.60m (156' 2"), ranked fourth in program history.
