PRINCETON, N.J. – Nayyir Newash-Campbell highlighted Penn's performances at the Sam Howell Invitational on Saturday, breaking the program record in the 400m with a time of 45.98.
Newash-Campbell's time ranks 19th in the NCAA.
Shane Gardner broke the meet record in the men's 100m hurdles clocking in first at 13.81, ranked 20th in the nation.
Ryan Matulonis followed behind in second at 14.33.
On the women's side,
Jailyn Milord captured the 100m at 11.65, ranked fourth on the program's all-time performance list.
Rianna Floyd won the 200m with a personal-best at 23.57, fourth all-time at Penn.
In the field,
Madison Knier delivered one of the top performances of the day, winning the javelin with a personal-best mark of 47.60m (156' 2"), ranked fourth in program history.
Ella Neskora also moved into the program's record book with a personal-best mark of 53.93m (176' 11") in the hammer throw.
Ijeoma Eziri placed second in the women's triple jump at 12.06m (39' 6.75").
Takunda Mhete claimed second in the men's long jump at 7.03m (23' 0.75").
Penn dominated the men's 5,000m as Joey Ruiz crossed the finished line first at 14:30.09.
Raghav Gopalakrishnan followed behind in third at 14:31.53,
Shane Murphy in fourth (14:32.72), and
Kofi Fordjour in fifth (14:33.17).
