Quakers Wrap Up Day Two at Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. - The University of Pennsylvania's men's and women's track & field teams complete day two of the Raleigh Relays on Friday, hosted by NC State. 
 
Lily Murphy led the Quakers in the women's distance evening finishing 10th in the 10,000m invitational with a time of 32.51.40. Murphy's time currently ranks 10th in the NCAA and first in the Ivy League. 
 
L'Mio Edwards stopped the clock at 4:26.13 in the 1500m, followed by Alexa Matora at 4:26.34. 
 
Gabrielle Jones recorded a time of 16:50.32 in the 5000m placing 63rd out of 220 athletes. 
 
In the field, freshman Thomas Bucks placed fifth in the men's pole vault invitational clearing the bar at 5.17m (16' 11.5"). 
 
Kampton Kam cleared 2.06m (6' 9") in the men's high jump, finishing eighth. Samantha Strydesky and Zofia Limbert jumped 1.67m (5' 5.75") in the women's event. 
 
The men's distance squad competed Thursday night down in Raleigh with Nicholas Carpenter finishing 58th out of 206 athletes in the 5000m, recording a time of 14:12.25. 
 
Vinay Raman clocked a time of 3:46.53 in the 1500m, followed by Liam Going at 3:48.10. 
 
Hurricane Collegiate Invitational - Day One
In Coral Gables, Fla., Angel Asaah opened the day for Penn finishing eighth in the women's discus invite with a mark of 51.15m (167' 9"). Stella Inman placed seventh in the open section throwing 41.63 (136' 7"). 
 
The final day of the Raleigh Relays is set to begin at 9:00 a.m. with the remaining sections of the women's 5000m. 
 
Amelia Kristen and Yuliya Maslouskaya will start the day off in the women's javelin at 9:00 a.m. at the Hurricane Invitational.
