PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Area Sports Information Directors Association (Philly-SIDA) has announced its Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Academic All-Area Teams for the 2025–26 season.
On the women's side, seniors
Sydney Bergstrom and
Anna Moehn were named to the prestigious team for the second straight season. The duo placed 12
th and 16
th in the 1650 freestyle at NCAA Championships to earn Second Team All-American status, becoming just the third and fourth Quakers to earn All-America honors. Both Quakers were named to the CSC Academic All-District team, and Bergstrom was Penn's Academic All-Ivy honoree.
Watson Nguyen and
Peter Whittington were the Red and Blue's representatives on the men's side. Nguyen placed 28
th and 26
th in the 100 and 200 breaststroke at NCAA Championships, while Whittington placed 23
rd in the 200 breaststroke and 31
st in the 400 IM. Nguyen claimed First Team All-Ivy honors with two first-place finishes at Ivy League Championships and Whittington took home Second Team All-Ivy laurels.
Philly-SIDA annually recognizes 10 standout athletes from each sport who are selected from 30 institutions across the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
