How It Happened
A cold day at Penn Park seemingly arrived to styme was has been a red hot Quaker team. In the top of the first inning, pitcher
Ainsley Pemberton got into a bit of a jam when she found herself with the bases loaded and one out. A sacrifice fly from Megan Lodge brought across the first run of the game and the only run needed in this one. Pemberton would limit the damage to one and escape the jam following the sac fly.
In the top of the third, Abby Tabaka brought in a run with an RBI double before an error would bring one more across before the third out could be tallied. The Mountain Hawks would also being three in during their half of the sixth inning to give the game its 6-0 score.
The Quakers would find success throughout the innings, producing seven hits on the day. Delivering multi-base hits and advancing the runners further would prove to be the issue in this one for the Red and Blue.
