Gymnastics Hosts Senior Day Quad Meet Friday

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team continues its homestand Friday, when they host Cornell, George Washington, and William & Mary at The Palestra. This meet will also serve at the team's Senior Meet.

New Heights
* In their time at Penn, the seniors have earned three GEC regular-season championships, two Ivy League Classic victories, and three GEC Championships titles, encompassing two "trebles" in 2024 and 2025.
 
Wire to Wire
* The six seniors being recognized – Skyelar Kerico, Marissa Lassiter, Carly Oniki, Alyssa Rosen, Alisha Werlen, and Samantha Wu – all entered the program as freshman in 2023 and represent the entire 2023 recruiting class.
 
Quaker Notemeal
* Penn is 4-0 to start the year, the best start in program history. They most recently beat Bridgeport 194.900-190.500 in the home opener.
* Sophomore Manama Fofana was named GEC Gymnast of the Week on Wednesday. She placed first in three events and joins freshman Ananya Patanakul as the two Penn gymnasts to earn GEC weekly awards thus far in the season.
* This will be the Quakers' third meet against Cornell and George Washington this season.
 
Road to Nationals Rankings
* Penn is ranked #40 in the latest Road to Nationals rankings. This also ranks first in the GEC. George Washington is next at #58, Cornell ranks at #61, and William & Mary at #68.
* The Quakers also sit as #5 in the Northeast Regional rankings.
 
Scouting the Big Red
* Cornell enters the quad meet with finishes of second, fourth, second, and fourth in their four meets this season.
* In their most recent meet against West Virginia, Kent State, and Pittsburgh, the Big Red put together a great floor rotation, placing second with 48.875.
* Senior Mikayla Burton had a standout performance on the beam, placing first with a 9.900.
 
Scouting the Revolutionaries
* The Revolutionaries enter the meet with finishes of third, third, second, and second in their four meets this season.
* Their most recent meet, a dual against Long Island, saw the Revolutionaries fall 192.375-191.000.
* Sophomore Lola Montevago earned first on the bars with a 9.800 and the all-around competition with a 38.925.
 
Scouting the Tribe
* The Tribe enter this meet having only one meet on the year thus far, falling to West Chester 192.225-190.475.
* The Tribe earned scores of 47.775 (vault), 46.825 (bars), 47.925 (beam) and 47.950 (floor).
* Freshman Sophie Summers placed first in the beam at the event with a 9.775.
