PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Junior
Jordan Barrow and sophomore
Manama Fofana of the University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team have been invited to the 2026 NCAA Regional Championships, heading to Tempe, Arizona starting April 1. Barrow will compete on the vault while Fofana will compete on the floor exercise.
Barrow, a newly minted GEC Gymnast of the Year, excelled on the vault this year. She is tied for first in the GEC on the vault NQS with a 9.835. That score also ties her for eighth in the Northeast region. She holds three of the top four scores on the vault for the Quakers this year, delivering a 9.850 on those three occasions. She scored a 9.800 or better in seven of the final eight meets of the year.
Fofana also delivered for the Quakers on the floor this season. Fofana ranks second in the conference on the floor with an NQS of 9.875. Her NQS also puts her eighth in the Northeast region. After starting the year on just the vault and beam, Fofana made her 2026 floor debut at the first Temple Quad, putting on a show with a 9.850 and never looking back. She has nine performances of 9.800 or better, with her best work coming in the last two meets to the tune of 9.900 in both.
After having just three regional qualifiers between 2014 and 2024, the Penn program has produced four in the the last two years, with
Skyelar Kerico and
Mimi Fletcher earning bids a year ago.
Barrow and Fofana will look to keep their great years going as they head for the Grand Canyon State in a week.
