#17 Women’s Lax Continues Homestretch With Temple on Wednesday

PHILADELPHIA – The nationally ranked University of Pennsylvania women's lacrosse tam continues its season-opening homestretch on Wednesday, Feb. 25, hosting Philly foe Temple at 3 p.m. on Franklin Field.

The Penn vs. Temple Series
*Temple may hold the all-time advantage with a 23-13-1 lead, but Penn owns the last eight matchups.
 
*The Quakers dominated the Owls 14-3 last season, led by Anna Brandt, who broke the program's all-time goal record with the 149th of her career.
 
*Temple has not won a contest in the series since the 2003 campaign when the Owls one 7-6 on Broad Street.

*Penn dropped its first game of the season this past Saturday afternoon at Franklin Field, falling 15-9 to #7 Johns Hopkins.

*Sophomore Sedransk is pegged to have a strong second year earning Third Team USA Lacrosse and Inside Lacrosse Third Team Preseason All-American as well as a spot on the Tewaaraton Award Watch List.
 
Scouting the Owls
*Temple carries a five-game season-opening win streak into Wednesday's matchup, topping Delaware (12-10), Saint Joseph's (12-9), American (13-9), Rider (16-6), and UMass Lowell (9-6) to start the year.
 
*Lexi Culp leads the Owls' offense in assists (8), goals (12), and points (20) through their five games.
 
*The Quakers will likely face Riley Horoshko in the cage on Wednesday. The keeper holds a 6.50 goals-against average, a .652 save percentage, and 45 saves on the young season.
