PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The University of Pennsylvania gymnastics team travels to New Haven, Connecticut this weekend for the Ivy Classic, hosted by Yale. In addition to Penn, the Classic will feature the host Bulldogs, Cornell, and Brown.

Skyelar Kerico won individual titles last year, with Barrow claiming the vault (9.875) and Kerico the bars (9.875) and all-around (39.275).
Flooring the Competition
* The Quakers were feeling their oats on the floor exercise in their last meet, putting up a season-high 49.200. Three Quakers tied for first in the event, with senior
Marissa Lassiter, sophomore
Manama Fofana, and freshman
Ava Hooten all earning 9.875's.
Quaker Notemeal
* The Quakers are aiming for their third "treble" in a row this season. Winning the Ivy Classic would be the first step in doing so, with the GEC regular season title and GEC Championship to follow.
* Junior
Sophia Paris has been a very steady presence on the bars this year, finishing no lower than ninth at any meet this and placing in the top three on three occasions.
* Senior
Alisha Werlen has also been a top performer on the beam, placing first or second in five meets this season.
Road to Nationals Rankings
* Penn is ranked #36 in the most recent Road to Nationals rankings. Yale comes in next at #47, Brown at #51, and Cornell #61.
* The Quakers have moved up to #4 in the Northeast Regional rankings.
* Freshman
Ava Hooten currently sits as the highest-ranking freshman among all GEC teams on a single event (#4 on the floor exercise).
Scouting the Bulldogs
* The Bulldogs enter this meet with a record of 6-3. They have wins over the likes of New Hampshire, Towson, Southern Connecticut State, Temple, and William & Mary
* In their latest meet, they placed first among Temple and William & Mary with a score of 194.025, tying Brown for the lead.
* Charlotte Zaun and Gigi Sabatini rank second in the GEC on the bars and floor, respectively.
Scouting the Bears
* The Bears enter this meet with a record of 9-3-1, beating teams like Rhode Island College, Southern Connecticut State, Springfield, Yale, Temple, and William & Mary.
* Their latest meet saw the Bears tie with Yale with a 194.025.
* Sophia Dewar project to be a high impact member of the Bears lineup, boasting season highs of 9.850 on the vault and 9.875 on the floor.
Scouting the Big Red
* The Big Red enter this meet with a record of 6-11. They have wins over Bridgeport, William & Mary, Brockport, Cortland, Ithaca, and Utica this season.
* In their latest meet, the Big Red took part in the Empire State Collegiate Championships. They placed second with a 192.850.
* Cornell has a number of top performers, with Mikayla Burton earning a 9.900 on the beam and Josie Moylan with a 9.875 on the floor.
