PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Gymnastics East Conference released its weekly awards Wednesday, with University of Pennsylvania sophomore Manama Fofana claiming the honor of Gymnast of the Week once again.

For the third straight week, Fofana has been recognized by the conference as the best gymnast of the week. This week, Fofana continued to be Penn's MVP,  earning a first-place finish for the third week in a row with a 9.875 on the floor. Her score helped Penn to their highest floor score of the year (49.200).

Fofana also earned a share of second place on the beam with a 9.825, as well as a fourth-place finish on the vault with a 9.775.

Fofana has been as key of a piece that Penn could have this year, being a big reason why the Quakers remain undefeated at 14-0 heading into the Ivy Classic this weekend in New Haven.
