PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The University of Pennsylvania gymnastics ended their three-meet homestand remaining undefeated, topping Towson and West Chester. The Quakers scored 195.550, with Towson putting up 194.825 and West Chester with 192.450.
VAULT – 48.650
The Quakers opened the meet with a very solid rotation. Junior
Jordan Barrow led the way with a 9.800, with sophomore
Manama Fofana and freshman
Ananya Patanakul just behind at 9.775 and 9.750, respectively.
BARS – 48.725
The Quakers improved on the bars, junior
Sophia Paris and freshman
Ruth Whaley were the best of Penn's rotation with a 9.800.
BEAM – 48.975
While it's no 49.375, 48.975 is Penn's second-best score of the year on the beam. Junior Barrow delivered the top score of the day on the beam with a 9.875. Senior
Alisha Werlen and sophomore Fofana placed second on the team with 9.850's.
FLOOR – 49.200
The best floor score of the year for the Red and Blue, the Quakers needed every bit of it to pull out the victory. Penn only had one performance in the 9.7's, with freshman
Ava Hooten, senior
Marissa Lassiter, and Fofana claiming first at the event with 9.875's.
