PHILADELPHIA - The University of Pennsylvania men's and women's track and field teams concluded day two of the Penn Elite on Friday, with
Amelia Kristen ranked second in the NCAA.
Kristen demolished her own school record in the women's pentathlon scoring 4199 points, 10 points shy of the Ivy League record. While competing in long jump, she broke school record with a mark of 6.16m (20' 2.5"), placing first.
She was second in the high jump (1.69m (5' 6.5")) and 800m with a time of 2:14.14.
Yuliya Maslouskaya finished fifth scoring 3891 points, ranked second all-time in program history. Freshman
Giuliana Ligor scored 3732 points, fourth in program history.
Jake Rose placed third in the men's heptathlon with 5586 points. Rose finished first in pole vault at 4.66m (15' 3.5") and second in the 60m hurdles at 7.94.
The Penn Elite meet will continue on Saturday, Jan. 24 at the Ott Center at 11:00 a.m.
