LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kampton Kam and
Ryan Matulonis both qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the East First Round on Friday.
Kam is headed back to Eugene, Ore. after clearing 2.16m (7' 11") at the University of Kentucky. He was one of ten athletes to have cleared 2.16m, securing his spot in Eugene. Kam was eighth last year at the outdoor championships in Eugene.
Matulonis qualified for his third straight NCAA Outdoor Championships running a personal-best time of 49.25 in the 400m hurdles quarterfinals. He was first in his heat in the first round with a time of 49.46, second in the quarterfinals earning an automatic spot into nationals. Matulonis is a two-time second team All-American.
