KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches (USC) announced the Goalkeepers on its NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Players to Watch lists for the 2025 intercollegiate season on Friday morning, with
Phillip Falcon III of the University of Pennsylvania men's soccer team making the cut.
The lists are compiled and released by the Division I All-America Committees to promote college soccer leading up to the official start date for the regular season later this month. The lists include United Soccer Coaches All-Americans and All-Region players from 2024 who are scheduled to return for the 2025 season.
Falcon had a breakout sophomore campaign in goal last year, leading the Ivy League in goals-against-average (.840) and shutouts (9) while posting a .795 save percentage. The goalkeeper won four consecutive Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week honors, the most in conference history. Falcon tied his career-high four saves four times against Manhattan, Brown, nationally ranked Cornell, and Dartmouth to highlight his first full season in the box. The rising junior earned Second Team All-Ivy and First Team All-Northeast Region honors to cap off his performance in 2024.
The Quakers open the 2025 season at Rhodes Field on Friday, Aug. 29, hosting Loyola Maryland for a 7 p.m. battle in University City.
