PHILADELPHIA - The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced its All-American Scholars for the 2024-25 academic year, and the list includes four University of Pennsylvania players in recent graduates Natalie Cao and Debby Chang, rising junior Maggie Ni, and rising sophomore Claire Lu.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and includes a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50. A total of 1,499 women's collegiate golfers across 403 NCAA and NAIA programs were recognized with this prestigious honor.

Cao played in seven of Penn's eight events and finished with a 75.7 stroke average across 20 tournament rounds. That included a 1-under-par 71 at Delaware's Lady Blue Hen Invitational and an even-par 71 at Princeton in the fall. She was Penn's low scorer at Princeton and was third among Quakers at the Ivy Championship, shooting 10-over-par 226.

Chang also played in seven tournaments across the year, shooting a 76.7 stroke average across 20 tourney rounds. She was the individual medalist at the season-opening Bucknell Invitational, finishing at 7-over-par 217, and took fifth overall with a pair of even-par rounds at William & Mary's Kingsmill Intercollegiate.

Lu played in all eight tournaments as a freshman, ending the year with a 75.8 stroke average across 23 tournament rounds. She was the individual medalist at the Quinnipiac Classic and tied for low Penn player at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate. Her low round was a 1-under-par in the final round at Kingsmill.

Ni played in all four spring tournaments and five overall, finishing the year with a 75.2 stroke average across 14 rounds. She carded a 1-under-par 69 at Bucknell, where she tied for third, and was second among Penn players at the Ivy League Championship.

The Penn women had another strong year in 2024-25, winning a pair of events in the fall—the Bucknell Invitational and the Quinnipiac Classic—and never finishing lower than tied for fifth in any of their eight events. In addition, the Quakers set program records for single-round score (292) and 54-hole score (892) at this year's Ivy League Championship.
