PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's and women's track & field teams are set for the 2025 NCAA DI Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore. on June 11 - 14 at Hayward Field.
The Quakers will have four men and one woman competing in four individual events. Men are scheduled to compete Wednesday and Friday, while women will be competing on Thursday and Saturday.
MEET NOTES
Senior
Dylan Throop became the first Quaker to secure a spot in the NCAA Championships placing 10th in the 10,000m with a time of 29:07.67 at the East Regional. Throop qualified for the regional meet recording a personal-best time of 28:27.40 at the Raleigh Relays on Mar. 27 - 29.
Kampton Kam placed 12th in high jump at Regionals clearing the bar at 2.15m (7' 0.25"). Kam cleared a personal-best height of 2.25m (7' 4.5") at the South Florida Invitational on Apr. 11 - 12. He placed 12th at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships at 2.11m (6' 11").
Ryan Matulonis and
Alex Sadikov qualified for the 400m hurdles semifinals placing second and fifth in heat three of the quarterfinals, respectively. Matulonis earned an automatic qualifying spot clocking in second at 49.88. Sadikov, leading going into the last hurdle, advanced on time with a personal-best 50.21.
Matulonis won the 400m hurdles at the 2025 Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Championships recording a personal-best time of 49.54. He placed 10th at the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Championships with a time of 50.12 in the semifinals.
Sadikov was third in the 400m H at the 2025 Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Championships clocking in at 51.63.
On her first throw of the day,
Angeludi Asaah moved straight into the top-five at Regionals recording a mark of 56.32m (184'9") in discus, finishing fifth. Asaah recorded a personal-best mark of 57.04m (187' 2") at the South Florida Invitational on Apr. 11 - 12.
