CHERRY HILL, N.J. – The University of Pennsylvania men's lightweight crew earned its first medals of the weekend on Saturday afternoon at the IRA National Championships, as the Varsity Four took third place in its Grand Final.
It was the first of what Penn hopes will be a clean sweep of hardware this weekend, as the Varsity Eight and Second Varsity Eight row in their Grand Finals on Sunday. The three-day IRA Championships are taking place this weekend on the Cooper River.
