DERBY, Conn. – The University of Pennsylvania men's lightweight crew got wins in the Second and Third Varsity Eights races on Saturday, but Yale nipped the Quakers in the Varsity Eights race and that was the tiebreaker as the Bulldogs swept the Dodge Cup and the Colgan Cup on the Housatonic River. Penn and Yale both accumulated 30 points in the competition for the Colgan Cup.

Varsity Eight
In the race for the Marcellus Hartley Dodge Cup, race host Yale nipped Penn by 1.2 seconds for its first win in the series since 2022. Columbia was third in the race, well off the pace.

Penn took first in the day's opening race, beating Yale by nearly four seconds with Columbia right on the Bulldogs' heels less than a second back.

Penn was the winner in this two-boat race against Yale, winning by nearly three seconds. The Quakers also ran a Fourth Varsity Eight in this race.
