PHILADELPHIA – The IWLCA has honored 128 student-athletes in Division I with a selection to one of the All-Region teams for 2025, with
Keeley Block,
Anna Brandt,
Natasha Gorriaran, and
Orly Sedransk of the nationally ranked University of Pennsylvania women's lacrosse team earning spots on the first and second teams.
Midfielder Brandt, defender Gorriaran, and goalkeeper Sedransk grabbed First Team All-Mid-Atlantic Region, while attacker Block garnered Second Team All-Mid-Atlantic Region to represent #12 Penn on the teams.
Brandt, who was named a USA Lacrosse and Inside Lacrosse First Team All-American earlier this month, won Ivy League Midfielder of the Year for the second time in her collegiate career and landed Unanimous First Team All-Ivy for the third, leads the Quakers in free position goals (11), caused turnovers (28), ground balls (60), goals (68), and points (71). The senior slashed three program records and tied one so far this season, breaking the all-time goals record with her 149th goal against Temple in February, the all-time draw control record with her 174th against Loyola Maryland, and the single-season goal record with her 64th goal of the year this week in the NCAA quarterfinals against #3 Northwestern. Brandt tied the single-game goal record with nine over Cornell. The White Hall, Md., native had a strong stat line in the NCAA women's lacrosse tournament, tallying six goals in the first two rounds to become the first Quaker in program history to score 200 goals. The Tewaaraton Foundation named Brandt a semifinalist for the Tewaaraton Award for the first time in her career to add to her stellar resume.
Defender Gorriaran, who earned USA Lacrosse and Inside Lacrosse Third Team All-American, was named Unanimous First Team All-Ivy and Defender of the Year for the first time in her career this season, led a stout Penn defense, recording 28 caused turnovers, 42 ground balls, and 63 draw controls. The senior put on a show in the NCAA second round against #6 Maryland last week, disrupting the Terps off her career-high six caused turnovers and five ground balls.
Goalkeeper Sedransk recorded a fantastic freshman season, earning Ivy League Rookie and Goalkeeper of the Year, to pair with USA Lacrosse and Inside Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American. Sedrnask posted an 11-7 overall and a 5-2 Ivy League record this year, saving 180 of 519 shots faced, holding a 9.99 goals-against-average and a .490 save percentage. The keeper saved a career-high 14 shots three times in 2025 against #5 Princeton and Towson in the regular season and #21 Army in the NCAA first round.
Attacker Block also earned Second Team All-Ivy to cap off her career at Penn after a strong senior season, tallying a career-high 65 points, carried by 42 goals. The senior hit the 100-point milestone against Columbia on March 29, off a four-point outing against the Lions. In the NCAA first and second rounds, Block was an offensive force, tallying nine points between the two wins over #21 Army and #6 Maryland headed by five goals.
These Quakers are now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team. The IWLCA will announce the 2025 All-American teams on May 24.
