#12 Women’s Lax Prepares for ILT Semifinals Against Second-Seeded Yale on Friday

PHILADELPHIA – Let the postseason begin. The nationally ranked University of Pennsylvania women's lacrosse heads to Princeton, N.J., on Friday, May 2, to take on second-seeded Yale in the 2025 Ivy League Tournament semifinals at 7 p.m.

The Penn vs. Yale Series 
*The Quakers hold a slight advantage on the all-time series, leading 27-22. 
 
*Penn and Yale met earlier in the regular season at Franklin Field, with the Bulldogs coming out on top 10-9 in four overtime periods.
 
*These two programs met in the 2024 ILT final, with the Quakers falling 10-9 in overtime. Anna Brandt scored four goals in the battle, followed by Lexi Edmonds' three goals. 
 
Quaker Notemeal 
*Penn has played in all but one Ivy League Tournament since the event began in 2010, missing out in 2022. 
 
*Penn has made the final a league-high ten times, winning four titles (2010, 2013, 2014, 2023).
 
*The Ivy League released its final weekly awards of the 2025 season on Monday afternoon, with goalkeeper Orly Sedransk grabbing her second-straight Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week honor after stopping 22 of 35 shots faced last week.
 
*The Ivy League named senior Brandt Midfielder of the Year, senior Natasha Gorriaran Defender of the Year, and freshman Sedransk Rookie and Goalkeeper of the Year on Tuesday afternoon.
 
*As for the All-Ivy honors, Brandt, Gorriaran, and Sedransk grabbed First Team All-Ivy, Keeley Block nabbed Second Team All-Ivy, and Erika Chung was named Academic All-Ivy.
 
*Penn closed out the regular season on a high note, sweeping Towson and #18 Brown last week. The Quakers dominated the Tigers 15-6 on Wednesday, led by attacker Chung tying her career-high eight assists to become the program's all-time leader in assists with her 128th. Catherine Berkery trailed senior Chung with six points (3g and 3a) while midfielder Brandt netted a team-high four goals.
 
*In Saturday's 11-7 Ivy League win over the Bears, Senior Brandt hit another milestone this season, recording her 200th career point. Patricia Columbia-Walsh led the offense against Brown, tying her career-high five points. Brandt, Columbia-Walsh, and Gracie Smith all scored hat tricks in the victory.
 
*Attacker Berkery needs eight points to hit the 100-point milestone to become the fastest sophomore since Zoe Belodeau hit the milestone during the 2019 season.
 
Scouting the Bulldogs 
*Yale ended the regular season with an overtime victory to secure the #2 seed in the Ivy League postseason. Senior Fallon Vaughn scored with 2:11 remaining in the second half of the first overtime to push Yale to a 16-15 win over Cornell. 
 
*Vaughn was named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week on Monday.  
 
*Five Bulldogs earned All-Ivy honors on Tuesday afternoon, with Jenna Collignon, Taylor Lane, and Vaughn landing First Team All-Ivy, while Sky Carrasquillo and Emmy Pascal earned Second Team All-Ivy.
 
*The Quakers will likely face Cami Donadio in goal. The keeper has allowed 55 goals this season, acquiring a 9.01 GAA and a .360 save percentage.
