#14 WLAX Returns to Ivy League Action at #24 Harvard on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA – The nationally ranked University of Pennsylvania women's lacrosse team clashes with Ivy League foe #24 Harvard at 12 p.m. in Cambridge on Saturday.

The Penn vs. Harvard Series 
*The Quakers and the Crimson are meeting for the 53rd time in program history. Penn leads the series 34-18, dating back to 1975. 
 
*In the last ten meetings, Penn has won nine games, with the sole loss coming from the 2022 season. 
 
*In their most recent meeting in 2024, the Quakers dominated the matchup 18-8, with Anna Brandt leading the charge with five goals.
 
Quaker Notemeal 
*The Quakers wrap up a busy week of three contests in six days, picking up wins at Columbia (18-7) and against #7 Maryland (13-12).
 
*Earlier this week, the Quakers knocked off the #7 Terps in a thrilling 13-12 battle at Franklin Field. Keeley Block scored the game-winner with 24 seconds left of regulation to secure the victory. 
 
*Goalkeeper Orly Sedransk tied her career-high 13 saves against Maryland.
 
*Erika Chung assisted a team-high five goals against the Terps.
 
*Midfielder Brandt scored a Quaker-high four goals. Regan O'Brien trailed with her second-straight hat trick, followed by Block and Catherine Berkery netting a pair each in the battle.
 
*The ranked win marks the second of the year for the Red and Blue, with the first of the season coming from Loyola Maryland, 12-10.
 
*Senior Brandt sits fourth in the Ivy League in goals (31), averaging 3.44 goals per game.
 
*Senior Chung holds fourth in the conference in assists (24), averaging 2.67 assists per game. 
 
*Freshman Sedransk has allowed 88 goals this season, obtaining a 10.48 GAA and .436 save percentage. 
 
Scouting the Crimson  
*Harvard battled Ivy League opponent Brown last Saturday, coming up short 12-10. Grace Mullahy, Shea Stella, Tori Balser, and Caroline Mullahy scored two a piece in the loss. 
 
*In the same matchup, Junior Mullahy broke the Ivy League record for most assists all-time with the 127th of her career. 
 
*Junior Charlotte Hodgson leads the team in goals (21) and second in assists (11) behind Mullahy. 
 
*The Quakers will face Lizzie Francioli in the cage on Saturday. Francioli has allowed 76 shots faced this season, acquiring a 9.60 GAA and .449 save percentage.
