#14 WLAX Evens Out Non-Conference Action at Towson on Wednesday

PHILADELPHIA – The #14 University of Pennsylvania women's lacrosse team closes non-conference action at Towson on Wednesday with a 6 p.m. matchup.

*In their most recent matchup, the Quakers pushed past Towson in the Second Round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament. Attacker Iria Williamson scored four goals in the 12-4 win.

*The Quakers closed out home action this past weekend, topping Cornell 18-10. Anna Brandt posted a dominant performance, tying the program's single-game goal record with a career-high of nine.
 
*The Ivy League announced midfielder Brandt earned Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week and goalkeeper Orly Sedransk as Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week after career-high outings for Penn in last week's contest against Princeton and Cornell.
 
*Freshman Sedransk stood tall in her cage in the conference outings, stopping 27 of 49 shots last week. In the stunning 15-12 win on ESPNU over the #5 Tigers, Sedransk saved a career-high 14 shots to highlight her week. This is the first Ivy League weekly honor of the first-year's collegiate career.
 
*Additionally, Brandt was named USA Lacrosse Magazine Women's Division I Player of the Week on Tuesday.
 
*Freshman Sedransk brings 118 saves, a10.29 GAA, and a .476 save percentage into the weekday matchup. 
 
*The win against Cornell clinched the Quakers a spot in the 2025 Ivy League Tournament.
 
*Erika Chung is three assists from breaking the program's record, sitting third in the record book in assists with 125.
 
*Catherine Berkery needs 15 points to hit the 100-point milestone to become the fastest sophomore since Zoe Belodeau hit the milestone during the 2019 season.

*Towson brings a three-game skid into Wednesday's contest, falling 16-8 at Elon this past weekend.
