UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. – The University of Pennsylvania men's golf team tied for 14th place at the Redhawk Invitational. The two-day, 54-hole event was hosted by Seattle University and played on the par-71 course at Chambers Bay.

St. Thomas and UC Riverside tied for the team championship, both teams finishing the event with a score of 856. That left both teams three shots ahead of third-place Oregon State (859). Penn shot 299 as a team in Tuesday's final round and tied UC Santa Barbara for 14th.
 
Sophomore Hayden Adams was Penn's low scorer for the Redhawk Invitational; he shot a final-round 72 on Tuesday to finish the event at 1-over-par 214. That left him tied for sixth in a field of 100 golfers. Steven Lee shot a final-round 74 and ended the week at 228.
 
George Roessler and Ben Scott tied for third among Penn players, both at 232, while Max Fonseca scored for the Quakers on Tuesday with a final-round 74 that left him at 235 for the tournament.
 
Matt Armstrong (St. Thomas) shot a final-round 66 and ended the tournament a 7-under-par 206, winning medalist honors. He finished two shots ahead of George Mason's Vaughn McMeans and three ahead of UC Riverside's Hartej Grewal.
