CHERRY HILL, N.J. – The University of Pennsylvania men's heavyweight crew had a great start to the spring racing season on Sunday morning, sweeping Northeastern across four races—three eights and one four—on the Cooper River. Of particular note, the Quakers won the Varsity Eights race which allows them to bring the Burk Cup to Boathouse Row for the first time since 2015.
All three Eights races were photo finishes, less than a second separating the winning boat from the runner-up. In the Fours race, the Quakers were a mere three seconds ahead of the Huskies.
