KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team dropped their first match of the spring season, losing to No. 16 Tennessee, 6-1. It was the Quakers' best start to a season since 2014-15 when the Red and Blue started 6-0.

Parashar Bharadwaj forced a tiebreak against No. 72 Shunsuke Mitsui / Alan Jesudason but their match did not finish.
On the singles side, Chundu won the sole singles point for the Quakers at No. 3. After falling in the first set, he rallied in the second set to win on the tiebreak, eventually winning the match in the third set.
The Vols clinched the match with three straight-set victories. Ian Cruz got Tennessee on the board first at No. 6 and No. 29 Alex Kotzen sealed the win at No. 1 against Graziani.
