Men's Tennis Earns NCAA Berth for Second Time in Program History

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team clinched an at-large bid in the 2026 NCAA Men's Tennis Championship on Monday evening, its second tournament bid in program history.

The Quakers will head to College Station, Texas this weekend to take on Stanford in the first round of the tournament on Friday at 10 a.m. (11 a.m. Eastern). The winner of that match will face the winner of 11th-seeded Texas A&M and Wagner in the second round at 4 p.m. (5 p.m. Eastern).

Penn was one of five Ivy League squads to earn a spot in the 64-team bracket as Columbia, Cornell, Princeton and Yale also received bids.

This is Head Coach Rich Bonfiglio's first NCAA appearance at the helm of the Quakers. He also clinched a berth as a coach at the University of Southern California (USC) in 2022 and three times at the University of San Diego. Bonfiglio will look to bring that postseason experience to College Station and lead his team to its first NCAA win in school history.
