PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team completed the Friday doubleheader sweep, taking down both VCU and Fordham to improve to 10-3 on the dual match season.
 
With his singles win over VCU, Manfredi Graziani picked up his 50th career singles win. He achieved the accomplishment in under three seasons at University City, mostly operating at No. 1.

Penn defeated the reigning Atlantic-10 champions, VCU, in emphatic fashion by a score of 7-0. Shaurya Bharadwaj / Graziani won first at No. 3 then Parashar Bharadwaj / Tal Goodman secured the doubles points.
 
The Red and Blue swept in singles. Sanjeev Chundu won first at No. 2 after his opponent withdrew from the match due to injury. Graziani got on the board next, winning his 50th career singles match. Shaurya Bharadwaj clinched the victory for the Penn.
 
Both Justin Chung and Matthew Rutter fell in their first set but rallied back to win their matches in three sets.
 
In the Quakers' second match of the doubleheader, they took down Fordham, 4-0.
 
Like the first match, Shaurya Bharadwaj / Graziani won first with Parashar Bharadwaj / Tal Goodman clinching the doubles point.
 
Shaurya Bharadwaj won first in singles, taking down his opponent in straight sets. The freshman now has a 11-2 singles record in the spring season.
 
Rutter won at No. 6, dropping just two games in the process. Aaron Sandler sealed the victory for the Red and Blue, winning his first singles match of the year in straight sets.
