Men's Tennis Falls to Cornell in ECAC Third Place Match, 4-1

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's tennis team finished in fourth place at the 2025 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Indoor Championship, falling to Cornell, 4-1, on Sunday. The Quakers went 1-2 on the weekend, winning against Yale on Friday.

Penn dropped the doubles point after an exhilarating third match swung in favor of the Big Red.
 
Sanjeev Chundu / Aaron Sandler won at No. 1 to defeat their first ranked opponent of the season. After Cornell tied it up, Parashar Bharadwaj / Tal Goodman forced a tiebreak. In a game that needed an eighth point for a winner to be determined, Penn came up just short.
 
In singles, the Big Red won three of their first four matches to clinch the victory. Shaurya Bharadwaj was the sole Quaker to win his match, doing so in straight sets.
 
Manfredi Graziani won the first set of his match before it ended. Matthew Rutter and Chundu each forced a tiebreak but couldn't take the set.
